Demand for Eleda’s services is substantial, highly predictable, and fast-growing – they are required to our keep society moving and evolving. Eleda leverages three key trends in its end-markets and expects to see substantial growth over the next few decades.

Energy Transition

The rapid electrification of society, with electricity being used more and more to power vehicles and industry, is increasing the load on the electricity grid. However, the current grid infrastructure is also outdated, and digital solutions are required to support more complex flows. Large investments must therefore be made in new construction, remodeling, extension, and renovation over the next few decades.

Eleda plays a key role in enabling this by designing and servicing the network and installing and repairing power stations, cable networks, and overhead lines.

Digitalization & Urbanization

Eleda serves a wide range of clients in markets such as healthcare, logistics, education, and IT/AI, each with rapidly changing conditions driven by digitalization and urbanization trends. One of the key growth drivers is the need for data centers due to increased data demand, AI usage, and cloud adoption. Hyperscalers – companies that offer hyperscale computing in the cloud – are choosing the Nordic region for expansion due to access to green power, stable market conditions, reliability, and the cool climate.

We are only in the very early stages of expansion, which is expected to continue for many years to come.

Upgrading of Water & Transportation Infrastructure

The transportation system requires both expansion and upgrade, especially in sustainable networks such as rail, to reduce society’s fossil fuel consumption. Eleda is working closely with municipalities and national agencies to enable the transition to a greener transport system.

Similarly, Nordic water infrastructure is significantly underinvested and not fit for purpose in an environment with increasingly extreme weather conditions and stricter requirements on safety and water quality.
