Craftor became part of Eleda at the end of 2020 and has since increased its sales by approximately 18 percent annually, generating approximately SEK 2,340 million in 2024 with high profitability. The business, which is a complete service provider in electricity infrastructure, followed the acquisition of One Nordic earlier that same year with the goal of building a leading service provider in power networks. The area is growing quickly as a result of the rapid electrification of society, which requires major investments in new construction, reconstruction, expansion, and renovation over the next few decades.
“There was no big change when we took the step and became part of the Eleda Group. We continued to manage the business in the same way as before, but with the support and security of being part of something bigger. For example, we were able to acquire new companies and take new strategic initiatives faster thanks to the support of a larger platform. Since becoming part of Eleda, we have acquired six companies,” comments Henrik Bolinder, CEO of Craftor.
Henrik joined Craftor in 2014 and took over as CEO in 2021. He then replaced Klas-Urban Hilberth, who after 12 years as CEO moved into central roles at Eleda, most recently as Deputy CEO.
“It has been an exciting journey from 2014, when we had sales of SEK 300 million and 50 employees, to where we are today. I started as a project manager, became business area manager and then COO before taking over as CEO, which meant that the succession was easy to manage,” Henrik continues.
Since its inception over 40 years ago, Craftor has developed from a small assembly company into one of the Nordic countries’ leading electrical power contractors with over 200 employees and some of the most advanced and specialized assignments in the field. Despite its size, it is keen to maintain the unique feel that has shaped the company since it was founded – always in accordance with the core values of the business to provide a safe and secure workplace with good conditions.
“Throughout the journey, we have kept a genuine corporate culture and a model that can be built on. At the same time, in 2020 the need arose for a strong financial owner with the courage to carry out strategically important acquisitions. Eleda’s model fit like a glove since we also receive support from Eleda in such areas as M&A, financial management, and sharing knowledge with our sister companies,” comments Henrik.
