Dennis Peters started as a purchasing and project manager at Salboheds immediately after graduating from Linköping University 11 years ago. Three years later he became CEO and in 2019 the business was sold to Eleda. This marked the next step in the development of a strong entrepreneurial company in such areas as the growing specialist field of groundworks and other infrastructure work for large logistics centers and data centers.
Salboheds was started in 2005 as a two-man company and since being acquired by Eleda has increased its sales from SEK 400 million to SEK 2,600 million and its EBITA from SEK 70 million to SEK 320 million, and now has just over 150 employees. The business is conducted in Central Sweden and in the Helsinki region of Finland, where the company performs assignments for both private and public clients with a focus on medium-sized and large projects. For example, Salboheds is involved in the expansion of data centers in the Nordic region for some of the world’s largest companies. Dennis Peters has continued in his role as CEO since the acquisition and is also part-owner of Eleda.
“We had been in discussions with various stakeholders for some time but ultimately chose Eleda. One reason was that we wanted to keep our name, our structure, and our corporate culture. At the same time, we wanted to ensure that we could build an organization that would facilitate expansion in the Nordics. This required a larger organization with knowledge and experience, which Eleda was able to provide. We feel that we have gained clear support for our future growth plans. In addition, there are other skills that we benefit from, including central tools from Eleda in such areas as sustainability, governance, finance, project management, acquisitions, and strategic development,” says Dennis Peters.
